What is Vector Artwork? |
|
- All artwork is either "vector" or "raster"
- For artwork to go into our production process, it must be "Vector Artwork"
- Vector gives perfectly smooth lines regardless of how far you zoom in or enlarge it
- Raster images become 'pixelated' and rough looking when you zoom in or enlarge it
- To create vector artwork, you need special software for drawing - our artists use that type of software and are experts at drawing. For a small fee, we can create the vector artwork for you - quickly and easily
- Most computer users do not have vector drawing software
- To help clarify a bit more - all photographs are raster/bit map images. Everything created with Photoshop or any type of a paint program are all raster images.
- Also, all files that are .JPG, .GIF, .TIF are all raster files
- If you send us a raster file, we can use it to draw a new vector file

More Info: |
|
- Our artists have drawn thousands of designs and can create vector artwork quickly and easily - no software for you to buy or manuals to read
- Vector artwork is based on mathematical formulas that define shapes - this way it can be scaled to any size and still look perfect - for example, a logo the size of a billboard
- In vector artwork, you don't specify individual pixels, but rather shapes, curves and lines by designating starting and ending points. It is a totally different concept than working with photographs which are based on individual pixels.
- If you don't have a vector file, send us a sketch or a photo and we will gladly have our artists make up a production vector file
